Pretty Books, Just Pretty Books
[Roxane Gay / September 12th, 2008 / Young Bright Things ]Gawker has an interesting bit up about the revival of the home library, well-appointed and filled with all the right books. Said books, of course, are rarely read, a sad statement, Gawker laments, on the future of the publishing industry.
So, is it true? Are we now only writing to fill empty spaces on empty bookshelves?
