Hello, Future
[Roxane Gay / April 29th, 2009 / Young Bright Things ]PANK No. 3 is now available on the Amazon Kindle platform, for the low low cost of $7. While nothing can substitute for holding a fabulous copy of PANK in your hands, we’d like to think that this e-version is a nice substitute for the technologically inclined.
This is an experiment for us so please don’t hesitate to let us know if there are any glaring problems with the Kindle  version, and of course expect that uniquely formatted poetry will not necessarily look the same on the Kindle screen as it does in the print version.
Now, go, buy, read, enjoy.

I love my Kindle 2!
I almost ordered the first generation Kindle a few months ago, but after reading some reviews I decided that like most new pieces of technology, the second generation is worth waiting for.
I was concerned that reading on the Kindle 2 would hurt my eyes, but it is fine. No problems. I don’t notice any difference from reading a printed book and if it were an “issue” I’m sensitive enough to feel it immediately. That was a relief.
What a bonus that there is the function to search on Google and to do some basic text reading on the web. I didn’t even realize that was part of the Kindle 2.
It may seem obvious, but it’s great to be able to turn off the wireless connection. The battery lasts a really long time, okay I don’t know exactly how long, but if you turn wireless off the battery really holds the charge. I’ve had mine 2 weeks and charged it once just b/c I thought about it, but I didn’t need to. I read about an hour per night on the Kindle 2.
I buy lots of books, many aren’t available through Kindle…but I still find plenty of choices available.
This device would be great for someone who reads the New York Times bestsellers and travels alot. But I think it’s great for me too!
